Cross-Cultural Communication Masterclass

INTRODUCTION

This course introduces learners to the fundamentals of cross-cultural communication. Participants will explore how cultural variations effect speech, nonverbal communication, and written communication. Participants will also learn how to detect cross-cultural hurdles, interact with interpreters and translators, arrange and participate in cross-cultural meetings, and handle cross-cultural negotiations and problem resolution. Participants will also learn how to develop cross-cultural partnerships and teams. The handbook is laid up in a way that allows for speedy skimming in the classroom and is loaded with interactive activities that assist assure success.

 

COURSE METHODOLOGY

This course is designed in the form of workshop which will includes a variety of learning tools to help participants function effectively and efficiently in a multifunctional environment through various methodologies including;

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss the importance of culture and cross-cultural communication in the workplace.
  • Describe how cultural differences affect communication and how to avoid misunderstanding and conflicts caused by these differences.
  • Recognize cultural variances in verbal communication. Improve your nonverbal communication abilities by knowing how expressions change among cultures.
  • Develop rapport and trust. Listen carefully and give both good and constructive feedback.
  • Recognize typical intercultural communication difficulties. Avoid cultural prejudice and overcome communication hurdles. Use skilled interpreters and interact with them.
  • Participate in and arrange cross-cultural gatherings. During a cross-cultural meeting, conduct negotiations and problem solving.
  • Recognize gestures used in different cultures and form a multicultural team. Discuss the criteria for developing cross-cultural documents and putting together a translation.
