Investor Relationship Management

INTRODUCTION

Investor Relations (IR) is the management of communication between a company’s corporate management and its investors. An Investor Relations Manager assists in the dissemination of information, the processing of enquiries and meetings, the provision of feedback to management, and the management of crises. Professionals in investor relations concentrate on the company’s financial community rather than its commercial clients or the broader public. To ensure that the holder of this certification has an adequate degree of factual knowledge on the regulatory requirements, as well as the financial and market environment in which the investor relations practitioner performs, in order to assist their organization in increasing Shareholder Wealth.
