Exit Interviews

Exit interviews are conversations that take place between an employee and an employer when the employee is leaving the company. The purpose of the interview is for the employer to understand the reasons why the employee is leaving, and to gather feedback on the employee’s experience working at the company. The information gathered from exit interviews can be used to identify any issues or problems within the organization, and to make changes to retain current staff. Some common topics that are covered in exit interviews include: job satisfaction, compensation and benefits, communication, professional development opportunities, and the employee’s overall experience working at the company. Exit interviews can be conducted in person, over the phone, or through a survey. It’s important to note that exit interviews should be conducted in a non-confrontational, open and honest manner.
