Optimization of KPIs and KRAs for Productivity Enhancement

We have vast expertise at MANAGTRA evaluating the validity and reliability of measurements, metrics, and indicators used by various departments or parts of a company. The technique we use begins with a detailed examination of the organization’s strategy. We then extract the Key Performance Areas (KPAs) that the company should regard as critical to its long-term viability. We then assess the organization’s present metrics or indicators by submitting them to a quality test with various checkpoints. By the end of the audit, the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) we endorse will be those on which senior management may base strategic and operational choices targeted at tangibly enhancing performance at all levels.

What we do

  • Review of the organization’s vision, purpose, and strategic goals, as well as the identification of Critical Success Factors (CSFs)

MANAGTRA will analyse the organization’s strategy documents before meeting with the stakeholders who are responsible for the organization’s performance. The goal of the review and the subsequent discussions is to identify the critical success factors for the company.

  • CSFs are classified according to their Key Performance Areas (KPAs), core competencies, and core values.

MANAGTRA will categorise the CSFs into three groups: Key Performance Areas, core competencies, and core values. The KPAs identified in this stage, which should preferably not exceed 8, will be labelled as “musts” and will serve as the foundation and starting point for the KPI audit.

  • KPA gap analysis and first-level scan of strategic KPIs

MANAGTRA will compare the identified KPAs (musts) to the current ones (actuals) and flag any gaps or non-conformities. Following that, a first level scan of the current KPIs is performed to identify their level of criticality and alignment (with the musts).

  • Deep dive into current KPIs and audit

MANAGTRA will examine each organisational indication using a multi-point checklist, the specifics of which are stored in a neatly summarised template known as the ID Card. The goal of this stage is to comprehensively examine each KPI’s robustness against best practise criteria, as well as to determine its reliability and validity from numerous angles. KPIs that pass the audit will be kept, while those that do not will be highlighted and changed or revised.

  • Finalization of KPIs, followed by classification and creation of KPI indexes as needed

MANAGTRA will run a final scan of the authorised KPIs, categorise them using mutually agreed-upon criteria, and make recommendations on how to use indexes to ease monitoring and reporting or to assist create performance dashboards or scorecards.
